The first time i bought trunk audio a bought a 1000W kenwood amp and 2 12" 400W kenwood speakers.

and when i connected them in series + to - it was ok bass but when i turned it up past 20 volume the music got louder but the bass got quieter.

and when i connected them in parallel it was awesome very loud sound and bass but the amp heated up a lot

What are your goals and budget?

like even if i was gonna buy from CL or eBay... How much watt amp should i get? dual Chanel or single? and what kind of 12" subs should i get? and how much watt should they be. something that will be good for loud bass performance.

$500-$600 will not get you super loud bass, but it could get you started on your way. Do some research and go from there.

ok but if i keep my current speakers what amp should i get? im thinking a dual Chanel how much watt should each Chanel have for 4ohm 400 watt spekers

Just get an 800 watt mono block amp.

I'd suggest something along the lines of 2 sundown E series 12s with a hifonics amp since you are on a budget. It's not going to be a crazy loud system but should definitely bump! Just make sure you have a good built box.

Or you can splurge and treat yourself to a couple of DCONS ;) But like bassink said, the enclosure will the most important part
