a friend of a friend of mine has a 2006 mazda 3 sport with a factory HU and really wants to have an aux plug in and keep the factory unit. is there any way to do it?

there might be, is it the standard hu or an upgraded option?

Its a little on the expensive side though.  Thats basically going to be his best bet if he wants to keep his stock head unit.
