Hey guys, I heard a set of Death Row 12s today and I am THOROUGHLY impressed. Ton of clean, hard bass without losing much musicality so to speak. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with both the DR's and the DP's and if you could answer a question. I've heard from a few people that the DP's are burp princesses and don't sound very good on music. Is this the case? Or do they perform similar to the DR's? Are they burp princesses? The DR's to me sounded like a lower power xcon (don't get mad or nothing, just opinion). Looking to run a pair in my cadillac and a single in my wife's 2010 Speed 3. Opinions?

I started my IA journey with an 18 DR and upgraded to a 21 DP. Though the DP may be more SPL oriented it performs very well musically IMO. You will not be dissapointed. I now have a 21 Warden and could not be more pleased with IA in general. Really just depends on how much you are willing to spend if you ask me

Wardens are beautiful but they are outta my price range. I always wanted a 21" DP but I think it might have been just to say I have a 21" sub. I know this is awful... but I love the DP logo, and would love to have them back there, but for the Cadillac I'm going to be running the Helix SPXL-1000B, and the Mazda the 5.1 or the new 10.1. I don't really know if the SPXL will do the DP's justice.

I'm with you on wanting that logo. On the warden I don't have one because it fell off but the magnet does enough justice... To be honest, if you're like me you will eventually upgrade anyways. Why not get what you really want the first time? Just my .02  Get the DP and be happy. If that amp does what it says it does ( idk much about Helix ) you could put too much stress on the DR. The DP will love it in the proper enclose and you will be very satisfied.

Word. I'm really drunk at the moment, but I think DP is the way to go. Thanks bro. And Helix is great I'm considering even buying the Competition components. Go hard. .

I have a 12" DP, by far the best sub I ever owned. Its the only IA sub I ever owned so I dont know about the DR. The DP hits really hard and sounds really clean. The DP's sound great musically so who ever told you otherwise apparently has never owned or heard them.
