May 29, 201312 yr Popular Post http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/index.php/product-information/zcon.html here you go bud, and you want to follow the advice of optimal
May 29, 201312 yr Optimal allows the driver to perform it's best. Always shoot for optimal. If you cannot fit optimal I always just go down a driver size so I can fit optimal for that driver.
May 29, 201312 yr Try to get at least 5 cubes net for the pair. Also try and get at least 100in2 of port area too.
May 29, 201312 yr Give the drivers what they want and they will be happy. If you need help designing an enclosure let us know and we would be glad to help. Edited May 29, 201312 yr by mlcantin

May 29, 201312 yr Author *.*+++++++++!~current box is designed as a two part with finish assembly once installed it is 37wide x 34 deep x 13 high. Here is pic to show where I made the split to install into my trunk space.I could make it taller but would have to more trunk assembly of enclosure.Originally I wanted to put the port in the center which Could give me more room to achieve the 100 sqin port area. I was advised to keep it simple for my first box design. It appears I needed more help than I thought. Is the 80sq in of port going to cause a breathing issue for these subs?I would start over with my box build if the 80sq in of port area will cause an issue. after seeing FrogI can
May 29, 201312 yr Ehh 80 isn't bad but I would definitely go with more. I have 68in2 for my single 12 Zcon. I did have 40 for my first box and it did work good. Try it out and see how it is, you should be fine. I thought you didn't have a box built already.
May 29, 201312 yr Author i believe frogcase2002 is running 80 sq inch i believe. I have no problem building a new box. I could use a height of 15 if I had chosen to build more inside of my trunk. please advise or give me some drawings I realized I could use the help. Constructive help I will accept to better suit the subs I have ordered.
May 29, 201312 yr So you can have a height of 15 with all the other dimensions? He is using 80 but I think he said he was gonna put more.
May 29, 201312 yr Given the xmax of the sub and assuming tuning is 32 hertz (didn't see it listed). 80 inches is plenty fine.
