Not sure if anyone is really interested, but I got this today. It was a service drop off, we repaired the RCA inputs and the customer never came back. So it's going home with me. I've got some connections who can do a little something for me so we're going to cut a plexiglass sheet for the front and cut outs for the display and the fans, probably going to upgrade the fans and get the whole thing powdercoated.

nice looking amp, what is it rated for?

It's an old A2300HCT. It is literally the ugliest amplifier I have ever seen. LOL, but our shop has a good relationship with quite a few different auto shops around us, so I'm going to have it powder coated. The top cover is God Awful so I'm just going to cut out for a 200mm fan and the dials into a piece of plexi and mount it to cover her up. Here's the specs

  • 4800W Max, High-Current 2-Channel Car Amplifier
  • RMS Power Rating:
    • 300 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms
    • 600 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms
    • 1200 watts x 2 chan. @ 1 ohm
    • Bridged:
      • 600 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms
      • 1200 watts x 1 chan. @ 2 ohms
      • 2400 watts x 1 chan. @ 1 ohm
  • Max Power Output: 4800 watts @ 1 ohm
  • Wired Remote Bass Level Control Included with Blue Illuminated Knobs
    • Also illuminates red to indicate when amplifier is clipping
  • High-Current, Non-Regulated Power Supply
  • Preamp Outputs
  • Cobalt Blue LED Illuminated Heat Sink Design (on/off switch for your preference)
  • Thermal Regulated, Air Induction Dual Cooling Fans
  • Double Sided PCB (Circuit Board)
  • High Gloss Chrome Plated Finish
  • Unique, Clean Chrome Fire/Flame Design
  • Blue Illuminated VU Meters Indicating Output Response
  • Clear Power and Speaker Connectors
  • Variable Bass Boost: 0-18dB @ 40-100Hz
  • Variable Low-Pass Crossover: 40-120Hz
  • Variable High-Pass Crossover: 50-750Hz
  • Variable Subsonic Filter: 20-50Hz
  • Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 100dB
  • Frequency Response: 10Hz-40kHz
  • THD: 0.05%
  • Channel Separation: 50dB
  • Input Sensitivity: 200mV - 8V

I think it looks good haha, it has a old school look to it. Know a couple people who still run old audiobahn amps, they don't look quite that good either :P

Lol the board looks great and the shape is nice, but the flame cover... ugh that thing is rough LOL.

Flame cover huh? That's interesting hah, I dunno if I'd like that either
