ISO loaded being louder on less power has me vexed. I'm terribly vexed.

adrian , have you already soldered te speakerwire to the  speaker connectors ?

I don't know if that's true. really interesting results. Still have to tune the non-iso configuration.

actually, with am isobaric config, it's easier to bottom out the speakers because you have the equivalent of one speaker in twice the box.

To my shame, I did not solder the connections, YET. Going to do it today and figure out a way to quickly connect/disconnect.

What is the effect of not having them soldered?

[offtopic] how close are you to Amsterdam and Eindhoven?[/offtopic]

Resin helped at least 0.4dB.

142.5 without ductape around the speakers (helps 0.1) and 142.6 holding the rear quarter windows. So far so good, time to resin the outside of the box.

Where around the speaker is that ductape?

If the sub has a rubber gasket around the frame is air leak a problem?

I'm at a 3/4 hour drive from Eindhoven (aproximatly 80Km ) , Amsterdam is about a 3 hour drive (230 km) , I'm in the most southern part of Holland .

couldn't tell you what difference soldering makes , I've never wanted to do this myselve for my drivers have always been fairly expensive and not waning to remove the pushconnectors

We'll see what soldering does as soon as I clear up more time for testing :)

This project has been very exciting so far and having 2 people work on it makes it even better. Somehow I see myself ending up deadening the roof of the Jeep, it's on the backburner and if it helps 0.5 for this project, all the better.

Highest score today was 142.4 dB @ 49Hz, box in a different position and almost class legal. We blew an 80A fuse and measured 50v and 12 amps on the subs. Still holding strong, although I think we will move back to iso-loading. It's easier to tell when to stop turning the volume knob and apparently it scores better.

Bracing also hurt the score, it went down to 142.1 @ 49Hz. It helps at lower frequencies but not this high. Double baffle / double bottom would probably work better than bracing.
