here is one ongoing install....

started with a pair of planet audio amps, the sub amp (notpictured yet) has been replaced with an mc1500d, the high end is still covered by planet audio. has 6, yep 6 kicker ds 3.5 speakers, all in factory locations. that includes a pair UNDER the rear seat!

started with a pair of treo tsx 10's in a small sealed box. moved to memphis pr 15's sealed and now is running a massive audio in a 3.75ft^3 ported affair. it's tuned to 35hz. the massive will probably be replaced with a mojo soon, as will the remaining planet audio with a 2004.

nothing fancy, just the basic wedge bottomed box. it does get loud though..lol...

That massive any good ?

Jag on daytons...never seen that before

the massive is decent. 1000wrms rated power handling, it's taking the 1500wrms extremely easily. not quite as efficient as a mojo (if you can call that efficient, lol) so it takes a bit more power to get it as loud.

all in all, i'd give it a 7.5 outa 10. it's a great daily driver, boomer. more spl then sq, most people here probably wouldn't really use it. think of it as an eclipse ti without the pricetag..lol..or titanium cone.

the jag looks sweet as hell on those 17's. it's got a great stance IMO, it's one of my favorite cars at the shop.

jim, for once, i actually like the chrome fender flares/guards/accent pieces. whatever they are called. it goes with the car.

tom, teh vx900, or whatever it's called is a dog. i didn't know PA put the peak rating on the amps. we couldn't figure out how in the hell 900 watts wasn't pushing the massive. so we look it up. we find out it's only getting 525rms @ 2ohm. that's weak..lol...so we put in the 1500d..and blam!! we gotz bass!!!

i understand your confusion..but look at this...

untitled3dy.th.jpg

this one rates at just over 600wrms @ 2ohm...

so maybe they birthsheet the max output. i dunno. what i do know is that it was a complete night and day difference bro.

you're talking about 2 ohms? my birthsheet says it's right at 600w at 2 ohms which is what it's rated for

ok, i think i get it....the vx900d is one ohm stable. but if so, why list the power ratings like they do? 1 and 2 ohm max ratings..2 and 4 ohm rms....why be so damn indirect?

anyway, the massive is a quad 2, so we couldn't use the vx900d anyway. not unless it was .5 ohm stable...lol...and even then, it wouldn't compete with the memphis mc1500d.

yeah, i dont understand why they have the ratings on their site like that, it is really confusing

im sure that amp was much better suited to the situation than the PA
