I would take what you spent on four sets of components (I can assume over 1k?) and buy an active capable head unit (pioneer 80prs), sound deadening (sound deadener showdown), and raw drivers from parts express or madisound.

I think you stumped him with that one.

I think that would be way too big a jump for him. he should probably start with what he has so he can come back and tell us what he likes and dislikes.  1 set of components in the front, properly installed with deadening, etc. no rears, some science to explain why http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interference_(wave_propagation)

You're probably right.

Thank you Lithium.. that was great friendly advise. I'll just work with what I have and come back after like you said. I have the Pioneer 8400BH ..good?

After looking at that set a bit more they look pretty nice. But I would still not suggest installing all 4 sets.

You've told me they won't keep up...any suggestions? I do not want any pro audio. I've got a Rockford T600-2 if I could utilize it that would be great.

You don't want pro audio but instead are choosing to do something that will sound worse? DO NOT read that as you can copy some asshat from FL's car with some shitty as PA drivers and craptastic crossovers and sound good...but at the same time, you can't really make 4 drivers playing the same frequency range sound good in a car either.

no, I was asked if I needed confirmation on whether or not I spent enough money.

Enough, probably, just happened to be on the wrong things.

You have to understand, no one here is trying to be condescending. You just happened to have made a decision that would have been better served another way. The real question is how bad do you truly want to fix it. If not pretty bad, then you are probably better off carrying on with your original plan.

Not reading all the replies. But RF makes a pretty nice comp set. I've run them in the past and I was pretty happy.

I figured if they were good enough for Steve Meade they would be good enough for me he's the one that kind of inspired me to do all Rockford with FI subs but a lot of people here telling me that my component sets are not going to sound good I don't understand it but I'll take it for what its worth and do my thing

I guess really it's like I've read in many posts its trial and error and everybody's tastes are not the same

They're not going to win you an SQ championship. But that's not saying they sound bad. I'm sure there would have been better bang for your buck, but that's besides the point. You already have them. I'm guessing you're just looking for them to sound loud and clear and keep up with the subs. My older sets offered plenty of depth and clarity.

Figures. Ignore everything you read or hear on Steve's forum. Whole thing is full of bullshit and marketing propaganda.

Why do you feel the need to constantly be negative man? Look where he's posting...

So I should pretend shit tastes good?  What's your point?  He is posting in the speakers/subs section and asked for guidance.  Shared what confused him so we ought to clear that up.  I really don't understand why this is confusing to you.

You guys can drop it. I appreciate those who was friendly. But this was my first post and I really didn't care for the way I was treated, so needless to say this will be my last.

Sorry to hear that.

I hope this wont be your last post on here. This forum is pretty much a straight forward answer kind of way place. We don't pretend people's bad decisions or ignorant decisions are good. We tell you straight forward so you don't waste anymore money. From my experience this forum is the best around and has A LOT of knowledgable people. You've talked with many just in this thread alone. So I guess what I'm saying is you can't be sensitive here lol hope you stay around man, a lot of information can be learned on SSA. :)

That really sucks if you're bouncing man. There's a TON to learn here. I've been working on my front stage for months now. I literally mean researching, modeling, and asking tons of questions. If it was as easy as replacing factory speakers and adding a pair of 15's everyone would have an amazing sounding system. You already spent the money, but BNIB T3's still have a fairly high resale value, hell you can probably return them from most retailers. No one is berating you. People here just want you to succeed. And a lot of them get burnt out on the amount of horrifically inaccurate information on the web. Fuses shorten, and answers seem snippy. It's not that way. I've probably asked Sean 1000 questions via PM. Sometimes he comes off harsh as hell, but not because he's a dick (well maybe a little) but he doesn't want people getting screwed or being wrong. He likes to "set the record straight".

Hang around, ask questions, and learn. Don't take anything to heart. I love this place.

You have the stuff put it in and see if you like it. Fuck everybody else.
