October 8, 201311 yr Author You won't hear a difference between a 1500 and 2k. So if I were you just get the 1500. Thanks, I will take that into consideration. looks like it's tuned really low Yes sir. That's the way I like it.
October 10, 201311 yr Author Replaced the batt terminals under the hood.Grounds in the back. The one going thru the floorboard connects to the frame underneath.Batt installed. And, the box back in. Port is firing at the batt, thinking of putting a loading wall in front of the batt.
October 10, 201311 yr Author looking good, im looking at maybe an X-15 for my next purchase. Thanks. Awesome subs! You won't be disappointed.
October 12, 201311 yr Author Cleaned up the back and flipped the box around so it's now loading off the passenger side. Much happier with it now, it had been effin with my OCD, lol.
October 14, 201311 yr Author Removed aluminum trim pieces to allow more air flow across cooling fins.
November 13, 201311 yr Author So, the X has served me well. I love the sound and performance. Absolutely murders the lows and moves a shit ton of air for being in the back of a minivan. But, I want more. Have always wanted a fully custom sub and now I will finally be getting it. This will be happening after the first of the year in preparation for SBN 2014. Sub will be built off a 874oz Treo CSX 15 motor. Will have a 12" Ti basket, 8 layer flat wound D.7 coil from PE right here in Ft. Myers, FL. Will use 10" spiders, Zv4 surround and cone, basket will be powder coated lime green, and will use a lime green carbon fiber dust cap. Keeping the same box I have for the X-12 (may add some bracing) and adding a second Shark Audio SHKAMP-2500D to strap the pair at 1.4 ohms. Should be a solid 3K if not a little more. November 13, 201311 yr Author I doubt two of those Shark amps will output 3k of clean power or more. I don't.
