Anyone know if this is really a mono amp as some say? Specs say it's a 2 channel 50 x 2 @ 4 ohms, 80 x 1 @ 4 ohms, and 100 into 8 ohms. I've read that the amp was mislabeled at the factory and is in fact a mono amp. Figured this would be the best place to ask with all the old school fanatics on this forum. Thanks.

My collection. Bout to go active with this setup once I find out what's up with this amp. Want to put the 2 big 2 channels on the mids, one for each bridged at 8 ohms, then the small 2 channel on my tweets, all ran thru the crossover with tweets 5-6.5K and up and the mids down to 80-100 bandpassed with the HPF on the head unit.

Nevermind. Upon opening it up I can see the speaker leads go to two spate parts of the board. It must be a 2 channel.

Thanks for the info. Any idea why it states 80 at 4 ohm and 100 into 8 ohm? Wouldn't the 8 ohm rating be lower, not higher?

My guess is its more efficient when ran mono @ 8 ohms, just the way it was designed to be ran for full power. Back in the day amps were known for higher ohm loads and not the 2,1 or .50 loads you see today.

Someone will probably answer it better for you later, just my .02
