Does the cooling option effect the performance of the sub? like does it make the sub quieter or anything? i read the flatwound coil makes a sub prone to peak so what does the cooling option do?

Cooling option put channels on the pole, so slightly less metal. I doubt there would be much of a measurable difference. I will speak highly of it though. Even though I didn't care for my BTL's stock soft parts, they took a lot of abuse and I rarely smelled coil lol unless it was heavy clipping.
