In probably a month or so I will be purchasing 2 sundown

SA 12s, and I'm trying to figure out which amp would be best for the subs any suggestions would be appreciated.

-Hifonics brx 1600.1D

-Hifonics Zrx 1800.1D

-Audiopipe AP 1500

are you getting dual 2 ohm coils or dual 4 ohm coils?  ssa store says both options are available...

If dual 2 ohm coils the wiring series for coils on subs then the two subs paralleled together for a final nominal of 2 I would suggest this:

1200 watt @ 2 ohms

Not sure where you were looking at getting one of the 2 hifonics amps you listed above, but sonic is out of stock on both and this one's price comes in in between the two you have listed above.  Plus, should you down the road decide to go bigger, you will have the extra power available with this amp...

he should probably get dual 4 for a 1ohm final load. if he's going with two 12's i would assume he doesn't have room to add more. chances are he can save money on the amp as well. a solid 1k rms amp should be plenty. depending on the vehicle electrical and music you probably won't be able to run much more power let alone hear a difference.

i believe the phantom line is their higher quality stuff. i would assume build quality is better.  also, its fucking tiny.  1000 vs 1300 isn't audible.

also, as with the ppi 4 channel. i believe the same design is used by many of the same companies. here's the polk version, http://www.polkaudio.com/products/pad1000_1

I was also looking at the Rockford fosgate 1200.1 D prime...What about that amp?

should be fine as well. mostly an aesthetic choice when it comes to decent amps. seems like  the ppi is significantly cheaper?

Any other opinions

Whats your budget?

Have you owned one ? And I pm'd you

I have owned at several of that brand.

look for a used amp. You can save more coin.

I take that back about the rf prime it does have a adjustable ssf.
