main goal is to stick with one company or brand of amp subs and speakers

Tried that.... a lot of times, no point whatsoever.

* And I'm the dreaded LP user. Still won't fork it out for expensive speakers that don't meet my goals.

There isn't a ssa sub that won't meet your goals.

Large Poop
Fixored.

In reality that isn't the case, but the price/performance is so ridiculously funny it makes me laugh like hell.

Of course so does picking a brand. Picking what best fits your needs is golden, anything else a compromise. Even funnier to me that a single brand request is hiding somewhere in a "measure power" thread. Really not useful when you have to basically double power to hear a difference.

You are going about pretty much everything backwards. You purchase products that fit your needs and budget, you don't find a way to make your needs and budget fit a product.

My setup now is both a daily and competer and I want to run a 16.8 charge since I will be running a single alt setup

Clamp results are still irrelevant.

If you plan on competing then "trying to give them rated power" is an even more irrelevant.

You seem pretty novice, no offense, I would highly recommend against upping your voltage at this point for several reasons.

I admire the aspiration, but you have much to learn young grasshopper.
