i preferred the CVX (pretty much same thing but round) and i really really don't like their 8" mids (rmb's or ss's) as i need something with a lot of prescence and output; they were a little dull for me.

nonetheless, i love their amps (their multi-channels even more) and it should be a nice project.

round defeats the prupose of physically fitting, plus, we just got the cvx's in, so i haven't had a chance to hear them. but i really enjoy the 06 L7's...

dull mids huh? care to ellaborate on your install? i'm going for quite a bit of presence with these myself, hence them getting 400+wrms. dunno if i'm going to seal or port them yet, if airspace allows, probably ported somewhere's around 75-80hz.....maybe...lol....

i hope it turns out as nice in reality as it is in my head....

ok, this was something scott and i was talking about...

we figured it would work because of the location of the mids and their aiming. they are going in the doors, about even with the midrange, well, a little higher, and they will be aimed across the truck and up. do you think that will work?

kicker doesn't make a 6 channel, so that's what i have to work with. i'm not running three amps either, because of where they are going.

comeon, help me out. i'm probably starting this around wednesday.

I am very curious about the CVX's, because I miss my classic round solo barics. They are one of the few subs I wish I had back.

Personally i would go with the zx850.4, run the midbasses off 2 channels and the SS comps off the other 2. run the 5.25's off the deck and you should be good to go.

94 Civic. started in the doors on 200 watts. at first i thought maybe it was just poor off-axis response. then we moved it to the kicks and changed to 250 wpc... still disappointed. i greatly preferred my extremis', particularly below 200hz (i have had the extremis' from 70-3.5k and the ssmb8's from 75-400). a lot more prescence and i preferred the tonal quality as well.

no updates yet..still gotta find time. i will talk to scott tomorrow about getting the amps, the wiring and the subs. everything else is set....

jsut gotta get to work basiclly. the wife is being a bit tight on the fundage as i just dropped $670 (i love ebay) on tires for both the scoot and the truck and a mild (leveling) lift for the truck. but it's still a go, just a bit on hold as you will...lol..

for the kit

you will get pics. nothing amazing, just a leveling kit. between 1-3" for the front, that's all....lol. putting 285/75-16's on it..which means roughly 33-10.50-16..

but hopefully this weekend!
