Posted May 3, 200619 yr http://www.jvc.ca/en/consumer/product-deta...model=KW-AVX706Buddy of mine gave me a price of $775CDN.What do you guys think? Going to have to do a little modifying to my dash to fit the 2din in the 1.5din opening, no biggy. Dremel, fibreglass, and elbow grease are my friend
May 3, 200619 yr Author $2 USD, word! :DI like it...what kind of resolution are we talking about?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>lol, our dollar is over the 90cent mark as of today. Crutchfield has the dirt on them a little better: Click Me and MeThe KW-AVX706 features a motorized 6.5" TFT Active Matrix, 16:9 display with an adjustable viewing angle. The resolution of the display is 1200 x 234 for a total of 280,800 pixels. The LCD serves as a video monitor and system information display.
May 3, 200619 yr i'm looking for a similar unit but i'm looking at the eclipse avx 2404, kenwood ddx 6017, and alpine iva w200.
May 3, 200619 yr Don't forget the Panasonic double DIN unit...Good price, great interface, inexpensive accessories (cheap iPod interface...)I like our display, played around with it quite a bit. nG
May 3, 200619 yr the alpine is a bear to get to work while driving. you either have to buy an interface, sold seperately, or do a dance with a momentary switch and a toggle switch.we carry the pioneer avic unit (have on in stock, lol), the clarion (which is the best of our group), the panasonic and concept.i ran the 5" concept for a few weeks. nice lil unit. more gimicks then it needs, but comes with more adapters then any source i've seen. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
May 3, 200619 yr Admin the JVC looks pretty sweet but I have not touched it yet, but I do like the Eclipse I would be interested to see them head to head
May 3, 200619 yr IMO it would look sweet in your dash, but its still a lot of bread for something that plays music. I don't quite actually get why a screen is beneficial unless you can plug el carputer into it or really need GPS nav but it will look cool.
