May 5, 200619 yr Admin yeah i thought i could wait but it could be 3-4 months on the diyma and i just can't wait that long. i would like to get both but thats not really an option financially right now.I think so, if it is that long and still and unproven sub, where as LMT is proven and Eclipse has never released junk. I love eclipse and because of you I want one of these too.
May 5, 200619 yr Author the only thing that does scare me a little is the Fs which is 16hz on the 8200. my mids will be high passed at 80 hz but i don't know if the eclipse will play up to that. i guess i could stay around 1.0-1.2ft net to keep good upper end extension?
May 5, 200619 yr Admin thats a question I cannot answer until I own an 8200...but found some Crystal Comp 12s cheap I want too
May 6, 200619 yr No ported...lolYet the LMT from TC you can port just fine <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I am curious the differences between the 8200, RL-s, TC 4Hp<{POST_SNAPBACK}>same hereIf i remember i'll ask TC when i go down to SD

May 7, 200619 yr Author preorder spot is sold so now do i go with the 10 or 12?the 10 is $185 shipped, $235 shipped for the 12.
May 8, 200619 yr hmmmm...dodge ram....get the 12...you've got the room!wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
May 8, 200619 yr Author sw8200 has been ordered oops, forgot to measure with the console open and looks like i need the 10 for where i want to put it. Edited May 8, 200619 yr by JoeHemi57
May 8, 200619 yr you putting it right in the middle? if you went to the bottom, tthe 12 should still fit easily. unless they are ungodly deep.pics are required when it gets in!!wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
May 8, 200619 yr Author well i have an 06 ram sport reg cab with buckets and full console. i wanted to put it directly behind the console downfiring but i didn't take the the console opening into consideration. i may just have to go with a more conventional mounting. the depth is 7.125".
May 8, 200619 yr you could do a traditional wedge box, but fire the sub at the back wall. we did that in a 06 ram truck just like yours with a pair of sealed tens...it sounds awesome. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
May 8, 200619 yr Admin sweet choice joe, cant wait for pix and a review, if it is very nice I might sell my current eclipse to buy an 8200, but I hate to let them go...

May 8, 200619 yr Author those must of been some shallow 10's y'all put in there. i really want everything to look as nice as it sounds so i'm gonna take my time on the install.
May 9, 200619 yr those must of been some shallow 10's y'all put in there. i really want everything to look as nice as it sounds so i'm gonna take my time on the install.they were either memphis prs or m3s..maybe comp vrs...i can't remember...we used a nissan titan prefab box. i then built a wedge ported one, but she likes the prefab firing at the rear wall. i want to say it's about 9" deep at the bottom....wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
May 9, 200619 yr Author all this high power talk around here has me wanting to get a ssx1500.1 and another sw8200. damn credit cards, lol. gonna have to wait a bit but that will be phase 2.

May 9, 200619 yr Author its a natural progression, i'll move the 125.2 down to the legatia 62 comp set i plan to get and be good to go. the vas on these subs is 8.27ft, so 2 of them should get a little air moving, lmao.

May 9, 200619 yr I preordered the diyma 12" but need something to run in the meantime. the amp i have is 500w rms, probably underrated. i'm looking at either one of the eclipse sw 8000 lmt 10's sealed or a single rli-8 ported. The treo ssi 8" is on the list as well and it would be ported.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>A little cleaner than the SS LMT because of the surround and 1 less spider, but not quite the excursion due to shorter coil, it will still pull 3" peak to peak if you push it. Its definitely in the category of a LSQ driver and certainly is the best LSQ driver I have come across. Sounds a lot better than a 12W7, and the head to head tests I did on a klippel confirmed that. May 9, 200619 yr what size box does the Eclipse 8200 12 need? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>small sealed is ideal.
