actually when i plug in my phone when the system is off when i turn it on it still makes the burp sound

Sounds vaguely like early amps. Before anti thump turn on. I'm with m5 on this. Double check wires and connections.

That was a rhetorical question hinting that perhaps the solution to that problem is well defined. Just in case you didn't get, shut it off first.

What I do is take everything completely apart til the problem stops. Then I tear it all down, and put it together one piece at a time, til the problem starts. If it isn't resolved by the first step, now you have a definitive answer as to what's causing it.
