Posted March 10, 201411 yr Just bought a northstar nsb agm 34Opinions? Any experience? What am I to expect of it?Electrical: runs of 0 gauge220 amp altBig 3Duralast gold under hoodKinetik hc600 as 2nd batteryPushing roughly 2400 watts rmsThe kinetik is being replaced by the Northstar. I typically drop down to around 10.5v with car driving and sub playing.Just curious if this should solve my problem and if anyone has experience with these batteries.
March 10, 201411 yr Honestly, All large group 31 batteries will be suffice. I use Sears Platinums, others use Deka Intimantor, others use Durecell, so, don't pay too much attention to brand names. Just like current subwoofers and amplifiers, there are only so many different sources to get your product from.
March 10, 201411 yr I honestly would have gone bigger but didn't think id be upgrading equipment as I did...
March 10, 201411 yr Northstar's are good batteries, only way to tell is to install and see how the voltage responds. If not then you have two options: 1. Sell the NS battery and buy a group31 for the rear.2. Sell the Duralast under the hood, replace with the NS group34 and get a matching NS group 31 for the rear. Edited March 10, 201411 yr by jay-cee
