August 10, 201411 yr Author Exactly everyone wanted me to wall it but I prefer window line. Plus its my dd and my wife may have to drive it one day ......... :-(...... lol.
August 13, 201411 yr Author Got a few goodies in the mail today. (Minus the batteries and 1/0 wire lol) On phase one I won't be doing much fiber glassing to the truck yet. Just going as stock looking as possible. If I don't like it, then we will upgrade, but so far so good. Waiting on my DC 175.4, Mechman alt, sound deadener, but we are still moving forward. On to the box, finally got the resin to dry and put the face (for those who will see it from the rear hatch) on. Looking good. Still have a ways to go, though I will vinyl it. The rear doors have to be fiberglassed so that will be done tomorrow. Hopefully all my stuff comes in on time and we can get to the next part. BTW These Crescendo 6.5 mids are great and the super tweeters are LOUD!!! We put them on an amp and they were crazy loud (one at a time), but on the stock wiring in the truck these things still sound great and loud. Stay tuned.
August 13, 201411 yr Author Lol thanks for the Crescendo gear bro. I believe I will get more 6.5's. Great product.
August 14, 201411 yr Author Making a few minor updates. Plus got my 175.4 in today. Also Mechman has begun on my alternator renewal lol. Door panels are being fiberglassed for phase 1 and getting ready to run wire FINALLY!!!!! The box is scheduled to be finished in a FEW DAYS!!!!!
August 15, 201411 yr Looks like its going well. The best moment will be that first ride in the truck after finishing a huge build and enjoying your own hard work. Looks great. While everything is out I would look into doing a 8in midbass in the kick panels if possible. The Nendo 8's really lack in that department, other than that great job
August 15, 201411 yr Author Christmas is coming early for your BIG KID self! Lol true. Took about 4 years but phase one is almost complete.

Ears were itching like crazy. Then I got a taste of one if my tweeters and a 6.5 (out of 4) and told them to turn it down lol. You spoiled my lil surprise lol. Just be patient grass hopper lol.
August 15, 201411 yr Author Thought about blacking out the GMC symbol in the grill?Actually yes or either that or chrome.
August 15, 201411 yr Author New plan, FINALLY found a spot to put my super tweeter and a reason to buy an 8" mid. FTW (Both sides of course)
August 15, 201411 yr Author Night view from yesterday: (Only headlights arrived) A few more goodies arrived today: Before After Working on the rear door jams:
August 16, 201411 yr New plan, FINALLY found a spot to put my super tweeter and a reason to buy an 8" mid. FTW (Both sides of course) It seems like know you're buying equipment and just shoving it in places. I wouldnt put mids and tweeters there. Just make your front doors house one or two 8s each and one tweeter. Stop buying equipment just to buy it, thats the first way to loose money.
August 16, 201411 yr Author I am not trying to lose money I just have a pair of super tweeters and wanted to use this space. Also I wanted to add a pair of 8" mid bass speakers to it. This is my last purchase lol. Besides waiting on deadener.
August 16, 201411 yr Author Love the headlights look like a brand new carThanks man. The hid kit is next on the list.

This is my last purchase lol. Besides waiting on deadener. No need for the extra pair of tweeters, you already said one was loud enough. Just sell them. Trust me I used to have 21 interior speakers in my car, so I know a little something about overkill. The more speakers is not always gonna net better results, just stick to doing fiberglassed doors. Just my .02 and cant wait to see the box completed.
August 16, 201411 yr I would do a single 8 dedicated midbass atleast. Something you can cross at say 50hz to 250hz

August 18, 201411 yr Author Today's progress. Wires ran (more to go), batteries put in place, door panels worked on, box sized and worked on, amp rack started, etc.
August 19, 201411 yr Start hiding your license plates when posting pics. Most people just scribble the letters and numbers out. Edited August 19, 201411 yr by jay-cee
