Posted August 8, 201411 yr I have a 2007 ram quad cab. I bought a set of hertz energy esk 165.5 comps. I was just thinking about deadening my doors. I emailed don as sds I really don't want to go to that much hassle. I know that you can't seal the door and such. I just was wondering if second skin is any good to put a little deadener on the door. I have not ever deadened a door did a few trunk lids in my day but have never had this nice of front component set.
August 8, 201411 yr First of all you need to be sure an read up on Don's site. There's TONS of good information there for the how and why of sound deadening. Second Skin does make a fine product, there's no question there, but honestly Don's products are truly fantastic AND it's not that much of a hassle to order them. Each time I've ordered stuff from him he had replied with a quote within 24hrs (two out of the three orders it was only a couple of hours) and after I sent the payment he had them shipped out within a day or two. For the best results I would highly recommend using all the products (CLD, CCF & MLV) and you won't have to worry about sealing anything.

Its not the hassle of ordering it. Its the hassle of installing it.
August 9, 201411 yr The more work you put in, the more you will get out of it. I did the full treatment to mine. While it was quite time consuming doing the trimming to get the panel to fit correctly, I'm glad I did it and now it's done.
