hey kids im back,

i have a crescendo audio s1500.1 ( one of like 6 ppl in america) that will power the 12. it'll go in a ported box tuned to 28hz and running at 1 ohm. i listen to rap and so-called 'RnB', i also have alota slowed and throwed/chopped songs.

 for the box, i would like the dimensions to be 13.5 inches high, 13-14 inches deep and 26-30 inches long ( idk what that comes out to) but after displacement i would the sub to have 1.5 -1.7 cuft to itself. nonetheless, the smaller the box the better.

i also have a kenwood HU and i know the volume goes up to 34. i would like the sub to kick ass at 14/34 (if that could be done 17/34 would be the loudest i would listwn to it).  im not interested in puttin cracks in the concrete or settin off car alarms 8 counties away.
budget wise im trying to stay under $175 ( i seen that i could get an obsidian for $172.13). im interested more so in SQ than spl, cause i like subs that play VERY nicely from 25hz-75/80hz

sundown sa 12 is around 200$ i kno its a li; more then 175$ but i think a sundown sa 12 is well worth the 200$ if u can pull the 200$ i say go with that.. i have two sa 10's i just got 2 months ago.. they not even brokin in.. but i wanted more so i ordered me some DSS Ethos good luck

Soundqubed HDS312 is $159 new so that may be a good option. Its is 3" coil 1200 rms so it will be a good match with the s1500.1 you have.

My current box is REALLY close to the size you are wanting.  I'm at 1.75cu ft tuned at 32hz with an aeroport.  I'm also using a 1500.1 Crescendo.

 

I know its higher than the budget you mentioned, but I went with the 12" DSS Ethos.  Extremely pleased with the setup so far.

thanks guys but if need to put a sub on lay-a-way its either too expensive for me, im too poor, or its just excessive.  but i think its a good plan though..... no other audio company does it.

Overall size was 21.5"w x 13"h x 17"d to get the 1.75cu ft.  I ended up having to add an extra layer of MDF on top though for the sub to clear the port, so the height is now 13.75".
