Posted August 17, 201411 yr I had a Memphis 16-PR1.500.1 given to me a few days ago.I was told it was cutting in and out,so I hooked it up 4 days ago.The first 2 days no issues,went out yesterday started my car no output from the amp.I pop the trunk amp is on fan running,not in protect then out of nowhere it starts playing.May play two days may play 5 minutes,then it stops again,so I hit it with my hand it instantly goes back to playing! So I'm thinking something has gotten loose on the internals somewhere.Was curious as to what some of you thought about it.
August 17, 201411 yr Pop off the top and open here up, shoot some pictures. Its hard to troubleshoot just by guessing.

August 19, 201411 yr Author I pulled the cover,reinstalled the amp,while it was playing I tapped around on a few components when I got to the relay it started acting up. It's a HANDOUK relay HA1-1C-12S
August 19, 201411 yr Author Is it the turn on relay?The amp powers on fine,its the output that cuts in and out.I have a video if I can ever get it uploaded to photobucket,I'll post it.

August 19, 201411 yr I had a RF T500-1BD to this to me. Luckily I had a square trade warranty on it. I never opened it up to see what it was though. If you are handy with soldering, you should be good to go.
August 19, 201411 yr Author Maybe so,if I can find somewhere that sells the relay.Probably end up selling it if I get it fix,not much of a memphis fan

September 14, 201411 yr Author Call them, I always get great service from them. I guess I'm going to have too lol.Email them over a week ago still no reply,phone service sucks here lol
