Then, ill get new shift knobs, pedal covers, and lastly ill lower it with a suspension kit. And if I can, ill get some rims, (maybe get 19'' and act like the car is lowered) because when I resell the car, I cna always resell the rims :D

Anyways, thats it concerning car audio, and due to budget restraints, I cant get kick panels, or bigger speakers in the back or another sub, or better sub or anything. Thats the bare minium that I can get. Just because ill be paying for most of it, and im out of a job now.

And my dad is being stubborn, so I have to get it all professionally done at cartoys. Hes all hyped up on the free installs that they have.

When the car is mine when im 16, ill do all sorts of stuff to it. As of now, thats it.

I give damn near all the credit to Elderado for helping me with it. I had a general idea, but he really narrowed it all down and such.

Well obviously not enough...NO PEDAL COVERS !

:P

Also, you should get the cheapest 4" speakers they have for the rear.

These: http://www.cartoys.com/Default.cfm/p/KFC10...l_Cone_Speaker/

Then you can get the focal's and it will sound awseome

http://www.cartoys.com/Default.cfm/p/100CA...2_Way_Speakers/

And its still cheaper than getting all 4 eclipses.

The boy needs rear fill for now...he is still a youngin and not aware about sound stages.

arent the assassins like 90 bucks? and the rms is 350

but if u have to do it all cartoyz... i feel u

flakko has some rainbow 4" speakers for cheap and for temporary if you want look into the IS or XT lines. But then I guess you would not be able to get the install throught them.

Personally I would take the Eclipse over Alpine for speakers, but the little Alpine amplifer will be perfect if you are just doing a temp set up.

Haha, ok, no pedal covers, but why?!

That is a good idea for the cheapest in the back, and the nice Focals in the front, and it still being cheaper.

Now, I gotta reprice and stuff. Post back in a little bit. Also, ill call Cartoys to see if they have the Type.. S subs.. S is what im asking for right?

Lol I gotta check on that.

  • Admin

yuck on the Alpine subs, if you have to get the sub from there and you want something cheap go with the lower end Eclipse I vote

  • Author

They are pretty nice, I have to admit, but the thing is I kinda want that "awe" factor when people see it, because ill be stuck with this sub for under a year, but still a nice long time after I get my license.

http://www.cartoys.com/Default.cfm/p/SW610...10in_Subwoofer/

They are 10'', and also cant handle as much as the Alpines. Although, I know, I know. Its all about the enclosure, haha.

Definetly consider it. Ill ask them about it. Because I want to hear it there, before anything it set in stone.

Get a pair of Assasin 10's. It is all you will really need for SQ in a sedan.

ok, buy the assasins and wait untill you are 16 to install some decnet drivers at a decent price. :)

I'd save the money on the rears and put it in the front/sub stage, either one is fine. You can always add rears later, just hook up the stock and fade away. If they are terrible, you will figure out how to switch them out quick.

So, dont even bother to get rears?

Interesting.. I guess what I should do is get the HU in it first, and ask to hear the stock, to see if i should keep the back or not.

That works.

I havent heard focals but i guarantee they will sound better than the eclipses.

They also have a moveable tweeter which is nice.

Sounds good, but what ones will have the most midbass. because i could get the good focals, and something with midbass int he back

just an idea..

are tucson store sells both focals and eclipse. the eclipse point source hands down stomps on focal low and mid line seperates. they are really not bad speakers.

the eclipse point source also have a removable tweet.

cartoys :(. hmm, what car? thoes eclipse 4"s would be just fine, if he can get focals, probably better off getting a bigger size.
