Is it ok to run the voice coils of the woofer to each channel on a 2 channel amp for a 2ohmx2 dvc woofer. I have my amp bridged. I have the woofer wired in parallel. but my amp is not 1 ohm stable, and a friend told me to do this. will there be any problems if i do this. please help :wacko:

just run your VC's in series and bridge the amp to that 4ohm load and you'll be fine. You should be fine running one coil to each channel if you have a dedicated subwoofer out on your HU though (i'm guessing)

cool! thanks alot everybody. :thanx::superman:

No need to sum anything.  It's best to, but you can run it in stereo with one coil per channel with no adverse effects.

I'm not talking about summing anything...

...AND YOU NEVER COMBINE RCA SIGNALS WITHOUT ISOLATION!

I'm talking about feeding the same signal to the left-n-right if he is to run his setup 2ohm stereo...
