I have Soundsplinter 15 in a 2.0 cu ft box. I would like to go to SI MAg 12. I would like to have output similar to a 15 so I want to go ported. How much SQ do u really lose. It goes in the trunk of Grand prix. I listen to some rap, but also some metal, reggae, and even techno. If u seal a Magnum do u hinder some of its marvelous attributes. I will be running Old School Orion( Pre DEI disaster) XTR Pro 1000

i tuned my eD 13Ov.2 to 29 Hz after being sealed in all of my previous setups and i was definitely not let down. SQ is awesome still. plus the extra output is extra nice.

why not port the sub you have first and see how you like it? if not then spend the money on a new sub,

MDF is cheaper than equipment

you loose 0 sq when going ported. no discussion, you just have to design and build the enclosure right. Pay close attention to transient responce issues and tuning in the 25-30Hz area is ideal. To get a perfectly flat responce all you need is a little EQing.

I love Sealed but the RL-P should wang hard as fudge and sound great ported tuned in the 28-30 hz area...
