The glue or whatever has loosened and the window moves perhaps a millimeter either way and rattles super bad. Discovered basshead radio on iOS yesterday.

How can I resucure the window? It does not have to be pretty. My hatch window is spray foamed in place.

Weatherstripping or amazing goop, depends what you are going for.

You probably broke some of the stud post that bolt the glass. Quick fix maybe if you can't get to the inside of the glass to check the small nuts that fasten it to the hatch & the glass sealant (same stuff used on windshields) might be to get some black silicone caulk and fill the gap around outside edge.

Moving to Illinois in the morning, first thing to do once the truck is unpacked then.

I believe the panels can be pulled back, but I need to clean my sunroof drains anyway.

Duct Tape.

Doubt that would stop the slapping. Too soft.

Stupid phone

I was just goofin bro.

I think every window came out of White Lighting at one time or another to fix rattles. A good cleaning and fresh urethane (think that's how it's spelled) always seemed to work. Good luck.

Seems the consensus is the 1/4" strip or the window will stick out. I get the garage back today so I'll look at it this afternoon. Hope it's as simple as tightening the bolts back up

Turns out it was a quick fix, all the bolts weren't even finger tight.

Didn't have to remove the box to fix it!

Locktite on them studs will make sure it never happens again. Blue is probably better if you plan on never removing the glass.

I had a similar problem once

my four 15" Xcons ripped the brackets for the electric motors on the side rear windows in half..

I had to get the manual latches from a wrecker and tighten up the adjustment almost enough to break the

glass to stop them from flapping on the low notes
