I know thilo personally and its not a fancy looking one. I did a bit of work around the shop and saved him a good $100 by finding 2 enclosures.

Well...lets get a move on homeboy

I gots lots of wood ;)

Sweet review and effort man. I'd really love to see a frequency response as well though. Any subjective thought on it? You said it mixed better with the towers, but is that just because of peak output or a more balanced but yet louder response?

Elias, side note I don't think you want to run PR in a car....

overall, it's real impressive in the 30-40 hz range, in car and in room. it drops off either way. by 50-55 hz it really starts to tail off...but the thing is, that's what it's supposed to do, as far as i understand TL's....

so to answer yoru question, i think it blended better due to peak output over flat response. it really does enhance the lowend, and enhance iot very well. without letting people look, they believe i still have the 12 in the back of the TB, only cut back a bit. the TL overall output in the TB is weaker then the 12, but hell, it has half the cone and half the power! IMO, it's very, very impressive for what it is. i think one will wnat a nice midrange, midbass setup to compliment this. while the rl-i is responsive, you will miss some of the kicks and stuff that are in the higher frequencies...not that the rl-i can't handle them, but this enclosure is for the lowlows..

and it's for sale. taking offers.....

i'm going to build a typical ported box for it and see how it does....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

how much are you selling it for, kent?

have no clue...make me an offer....

sean, i'll try and do some more testing and metering..give you a better feel of what the sub/enclosure is doing....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

if this really helps on the bottom end, it sounds like a great option for people who don't want to buy a 12 etc..

I tried out my 8 in my moms car because she actually has an amp in her car...lol

It has some good low end but its definetly not as loud as the ported.

going to have to build this one of these days :)

or make me an offer on mine..lol...

i'm craving somethign different already and will have no use for this one...

so if i don't sell it,it's destined for the burnpile....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Im going to see if i can get 80 inches to improve on the design and maybe make a bandpass as well.

i'll pay shipping if you're just going to toss it

[female type emotion=running away crying] oh, i see, my labor is worth nothing to you...nothing....[/emotion]
