Posted August 7, 200619 yr Trying to post a design I drew up. Dont worry it is not stick figures. I want to get your opinions on this box and amp rack. If anyone could allow me to send it to them through email and then post it I would appreciate it. I tried to use the "image" option and it did not work. Edited August 7, 200619 yr by body88
August 7, 200619 yr Author I drew this up quickly on my comp. I want to mount the rl-p flush with the amps resting on the connected rack on the front. I hope to make it as small as I can with ample space for the rlp. It will be sealed. I want to have it rugged to match my interior. I also want to aviod drilling holes in my trunk so it will need to be attached to a piece of rugged plywood cut to the shape of the trunk. Thanks for the help neon. I was using imageahck before. It sucked lol Thanks for the help neon. I was using image shack. Edited August 7, 200619 yr by body88
August 8, 200619 yr The beauty of sealed is that as long as you hit cubes and don't do anything super strange with your box it is ok. You do need a bit of clearance around the pole vent but less than an inch should be fine. Make sure in your modelling you are computing Internal volume and don't forget to add an extra 0.21cuft for the amount of space that the Rlp15 takes up.
August 8, 200619 yr Author Thanks for the advice bro. I am not going to attempt to build the box as my math skills are a bit rusty (I was a communications major ) lol. I did however talk to a few local shops and they told me the shop that did Manny Ramirez's cars does amazing work. I live across the common from Manny so I see his cars alot. They are all crazy. I cant imagine him having anyone but the best doing his stuff. So I am going to look into this shop for the install.

August 8, 200619 yr Author we have people on here that build and design boxes for other members, they need dimensions and any obstacles that they would have to build around<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Really? Could I pm one of them to see if they could helo me out. Have you had one built. The people who did the install I was talking about will prob be way overpriced since they got come recognition. Thanks again for the help. Also would you spring for the zapco rf 350? Or the more powerful but less sick us amps extirminator 2 channel? The us amps is a little cheaper and more powerful. The zapco is a sick amp tho.
August 8, 200619 yr Admin mrray13 is reading the thread right now, he is one of many people, tirefryr also makes great boxes too.as for the amplifer choice, I am very tight with money at the moment so that affects my decision and since I have not heard any negative reports on the new Xterminator line in terms of sound, I feel it would be a good choice for a daily system,if you want you can always upgrade later
