August 26, 200619 yr Author well, after a long strenuous search for a car, i never found anything, i finally sold my car to a dealer for $5500, that was the most i could get out of it. funny how i started selling it at $7500 and i ended up taking $5500 for it. anyway, i took a risk, and got the contour. it is running just fine, idles a little low, but thats all. had a mechanic fix the timing and he did a compression test and he was astounded at how well it did. looking for this car to last me 6 mos. to a year, then i can pick somethin else up. if it blows up, oh well, i screwed up..anybody know how to fix the low idle? it has brand new plugs and wires and the plugs are spaced right. is there like a throttle cable i could tighten or a butterfly valve i need to open a bit more??
