well i have yet to try them but if they are still made by CDT then they are using the EF cone as its the only convertible driver from CDT. As for the crossover it looks like the cheap one used on some of those off brand companies. I'd cant' remember it but it was blue-ish. I'm quite intrigued by the crossover as from the pictures it only has 3 capacitors/resistors on it maybe 4. Even the CDT Satnet400 has 3 caps and 3 resistors on it. Also the ED crossover doesn't have the IEK output on it. I just finished watching the video on their webpage and it looks like a set of EF's with an older version tweeter something like the tw-19t or so. I think that is the only one that can fit in in the convertible setup.

Who knows, i've had my ups and downs with ED. Some of its good others not. But for the price their products definitely do fit a budget.

For the same money I'd rather just get some Dayton drivers, a Dayton crossover and an Lpad.  You could do that for a $125 and I am sure it would be better.

:+1:

better than china :ehh:

yea wat really got me was the price.. i mean 125 for a set of comps aint bad.

My RE RE componet set was only $130. ;)

BTW, I'm geussing you havent heard the story about ben's korea excuse with a certian preorder of amps that happened to never show up?

^^ oh yea i memer that...although i stopped going there a long long time ago.

When you get other people to do the engineering for you, why should it be?

And obviously there is no need to thank, publically acknowledge, or pay those who provide said engineering.

:D

Granted, that only applied in a specific situation.

Cheers,

I almost bought a 19.ov2 from them before reading some of the threads about ED. I know the sales manager and he was hooking me up with a pretty good deal but i just couldnt do it. It definitly seems as though the owner cares more about the money he makes then putting out a good product...

Very true.

I can understand everyones gripes with the company. But I myself have orderd from them at least 4 sepperate times with no problems at all. I currently run the edi 6500 components and have a 16Ov.2 sitting at Marks place and am quite happy with them both. Even with the US/CAN border crossing issues I would buy from them again in a heart beat.
