Posted April 4, 200421 yr Sorry for the massive pics. Deal with it.Stock deck:Alpine CDA-9813:Kicks with trim rings mounted:Kicks ... fleeced style:Resined kicks:Driver side before:Driver side after:Passenger side before:Passenger side after:Painting in progress:My makeshift paint booth (hey, it was windy):Resin smells. Bondo is the biggest pain in the ass ever ... so I quit, sanded half assed, and painted - so yes, there's flaws right now. But I'll make them perfect eventually. Ignore the wires, they're hidden now. CL-61's if you're wondering. Make sure to use enough resin to soak ALL the way through the fleece ... it takes a LOT to do this. Hmmm what else ... oh, the 1503B trim kit from Scosche is the worst kit out there to work with. Had to cut it out so my deck would fit, cut the EQ spot out, then had to modify the factory trim ring to fit. More work than what it was worth, but it looks fine.Oh, almost forgot.Tom's truck --- 3" of lift, 33's, nicest sounding exhaust I've heard on a Silverado (it's a '95, and the exhaust is Flowmaster), practical for daily driving yet can tackle the off road scene out here.- Steve
April 4, 200421 yr I'm curious as to why you opted for that color on the kicks? good job on them nonetheless.... I have 56k btw, it just makes me want to look at it more
April 4, 200421 yr Author Lol, I've already taken lots of shit about the color I chose. It matches the exterior. That's all I can come up with. Oh, and it's engine paint ... so some engine parts are accented too Either the color on the kicks will change, or the whole interior.Oh how much fun I would have changing the interior ...Oh, and Aaron ... that's your SPL car - Steve
April 4, 200421 yr WTG, Cap'n Looks great to me. I think this nice weather is giving us all the fiberglass bug!
April 4, 200421 yr Author Most definitely ... first fairly warm day in a while so I decided to take advantage of it.- Steve
April 4, 200421 yr Author 323 Who knows ... maybe I'll do something different. I mean it'll just be thrown on a trailer and hauled to competitions with the truck. Maybe some engine work and more interior stuff would make it look like a true Team SSAudio.com car - Steve
