Team Second Skin is appearing on “Inside West Coast Customs” Tuesday March 21^st, 2017 on the Velocity channel, so to thank all of our awesome customers, we are going to give away some sweet American made butyl sound deadening boxes of Damplifier Pro. All you have to do to enter is this giveaway is as follows:

•   Watch the Season Premiere of “Inside West Coast Customs” on Velocity Channel March 21^st, 2017 (To help make a more educated guess)

You have until midnight Arizona time zone on March 23^rd, 2017 to make your guess. After that we will examine all entries and determine the closest to the actual time it took to full complete the sound deadening work on this build. The winner will be the closest guess, down to the second (so the more specific your number, is the closer you could become, either before or after the actual number). Second Skin admin will determine the final winner. In a case of a tie, we will PM the tied entries and do any easy tie breaker of guessing closest to a number between the tied entries). Winner will be announced on March 24^th, 2017 via the forum or page for each giveaway.

So the time has come, to reveal the very in depth installation Team Second Skin was a part of for the “Inside West Coast Customs: Steampunk VW Build”. Almost 200 sqft of Damplifier Pro, 120 sqft of Luxury Liner Pro, and 48 sqft of Hydrophobic Melamine Foam was used in this build. The time lapse install of this build for the episode was a little deceiving (TV magic) and the install of the Mega Block in the engine bay was not shown. But it took 2 installers (plus Eric’s part of the build), 2 days, for a total of 30 hours 47 minutes to finish this very detailed install. Keep in mind most builds do not take this long, but the size and high quality necessary to complete the build of this rare 23 window VW bus, required attention to detail and precise work to accomplish this unbelievably well sound deadened build.

So it was taking a while to update and i forgot to post.

Well this second skin  damplifier pro is some pretty good stuff, i have a pretty exstensive build im doing to my Mercedes, which seems to have tar paper as deadening in places. The main places it is missing is thhe rear lid and deck. I decided to use it on the rear deck, trunk and side panels. Rolls on easy as you can see it really gets into the crevasses as well. I used some the second skin mostly in the areas i was worried about it falling off. and the cheaper option on other areas. Didn't finish the rear deck yet;I didn't take as many pics as i could have, but honestly 1 layer of this stuff makes a hell of a difference.
