Posted March 3, 200718 yr In order to get a ported box just perfect could you just punch in your cubic feet what you are needing in your box, then get the port dimensions and figure up the displacement of this inside of your box and add in sub woofer displacement. After I add these up could I enter my Height, Top and Bottom depth, then using my length as my variable to figure up how many cubic feet I need? In other words say that I have a sub woofer that has a displacement of .11. Then i figure up a port that would displace .2 cubic feet in a box. I'm needing 1.2 cubic feet after sub and port displacement. So the box should be 1.31 cubic feet inside? Here are my two designshttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/E-m...ewportedone.pngWith this design wouldn't there be a "dead spot" in between the front of the box and port?http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/E-m...ewportedtwo.pngWhat do you guys think about this design, the port is 1.75 inches tall and 7 inches wideOr have a terribly screwed up lol
