Posted June 10, 20178 yr I have had an old SX laying around for a couple years and finally sold it (with box and amp) to my brother for $200. He was getting it installed today and the guy installing it said one of the VC was reading 0 ohm. I havent been involved with car audio for probably 10years and forgot what little I used to know. Can I fix this or is it now a paperweight? Maybe I am hanging onto nostalgia, but IIRC Resonant Engineering was respected for quality and value before the buyout by US Amps when prices shot up. Furthermore IIRC, the owner of RE went on to found FI car audio, so perhaps they would be the ones to ask? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

It would appear they have exactly what I would need (i guess?) http://www.ficaraudio.com/product/enocer-xs-er/ I probably couldn't find a better sub for the cost of a recone. Now i will have to read up on how to do this.
