Posted December 20, 20177 yr I can't for the life of me figure this one out. The power and grounds are both good according to my DMM. The remote wire is getting power (0.1-0.2v) The remote wire is hooked to the blue and white wire. I've tried 2 amps, 2 fuses, and 2 capacitors. DEX-6900BT Pioneer radio Hifonics ZRX3216.1D Zeus and also tried Skar Audio RP-2000.1D (thought the amp was bad). All the other speakers and such work, so totally at a loss.
December 20, 20177 yr Author Ok. So what does that mean? It's hooked straight to the radio, and I've replaced the wire once. I have actually had 3 different radios in the system also. Edited December 20, 20177 yr by docstrange82
December 20, 20177 yr You could check your voltage at the radio. I've had a radio only put out 6v and I just tapped into my switched from the ignition. Not a good way to do it but in a pinch. Might be better to use a switch instead of ignition switched.
December 20, 20177 yr I Did a quick search and I think that is the only wire available (blue and white) so disregard my last message.. that wire should have an output of 12v. I have a similar model pioneer in my work car, if i remember correctly, if you dig thru the settings there is a setting where u can manually shut down remote wire

December 20, 20177 yr Jump a wire from your power to your remote on the amps. This will help us troubleshoot if your amps work. This is just a test so do not leave it connected cause it will drain your battery as your amp wont shutoff. Once you do that let us know.
