help w/sub wiring

Hey so i jsut bought a dvc 2ohm 15q. Now i was wondering if the gauge of wire i run inside the box to the sub matters?

I have some 8 guage wire layign around but the spring terminals on the subwoofer itself will not hold 2x 8 guage wires which would be necissary to wire the sub to .7ohm. ..... http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learning...mpedance=DVC2x2

If anyone knows if i can use liek 12 guage or like 16 guage for this let me know, or if you have any ideas of how i can get two 8 guage wires into the spring terminal.

yea 8 guage is fine, what u can do is buy the thing above, or shave the wires down and twist them togeher really good.

I' cant beleive it doesnt hold 2 8 guage wires.
