Posted March 8, 200718 yr i did a test to see which amp was harder hittingi ran the Crossfire Vr 1000d @ 2ohm through my PaP 15" MOAB = 500wattsi ran the PPi Dcx 1000d @ 2ohm through my PaP 15" MOAB = 500wattsi set the gain on both amps @ 1/2 or center or Noon...all settings on HU were left as Daily,subs crossed to 100Hz & down / 0gain or flatthe Crossfire was weak to say the least... had to crank the HU to 25 to get any thing to shakethe PPi on the other hand was Dominant as i only got to 8 on the HU and noticed the stuff on my walls in my guradge was shaking @ 12 on the HUthe bass was well above pounding...the Crossfire Vr 1000d got guess ill put it in my Girlfriends truck on a single 10" under her seat...the box was 5.6cf gross4.5cf after displacement ported @ 43Hz...inside is completely FG.... gold board is the PPi Dcx 1000.1blue board is the Crossfire Vr 1000.1
March 8, 200718 yr Nice diagnocis..............but did you also look how the gains are on the crossfire?? they aren't exactly "center"..........prahaps make the gain truely center or 1/2 way and test again............I think it should yield a rather powerfull amp. More powerful than the PPI? That I'd trather not comment on. (haven't used/seen on in action before.J

March 8, 200718 yr Author as far as Sq gos the PPi wins Hands down as it has more control over the Freq: and has better crossoversas far as Power so far the PPi is winning as far as just lisenning to it but to be fair im going to break out the Dmm and set the output AC voltage to 44.7v and give em both another runn
