I have only had 2 decks so I can't really speak on the best. However, I have loved my 8053 ever since I've had the thing. I believe I purchased it my 11th or 12th grade year in high school and have had it ever since(I turn 21 this year). Wonderful deck but I've always wanted to try out a p9 or h701 combo.

clarion dz9225 or whatever. friend has one. front 3 way active + subwoofer individual tuning. 4 sets of pre outs. .7 incriments of time alignment. It has everything u could want

no frills straight sq HU: tie between RFX-8250 and eclipse ECD-510

HU with DSP: hands down 8053

HU with outboard processor: P9 combo

I just got my Clarion drz9255; it's my fave so far with more crossover capability than the 8053, burr brown, 2 aux-ins(with sensitivity adjustment) and can adjust any individual speaker in the car. I do like the steeper rolloff from the eclipse cd8053 on the highs (even with the background static i had on my unit) but not that big of a deal since the clarion has a "warmer" sound to it.

eclipse ECD-413 :OhYeah: , had it since the early 90's. It has been installed 3 times. It has been waiting in my closet for along time. It will be installed a 4th time very shortly. :fing34:
