ok well i accidentally sent scott an email about this, my bad, but ill post it on here for you all to read. can you recone a soundstream T4 15. its D2 coils right now, and i think they are 3 inch coils. one seems to be shorting out and smoking up the trunk. if so, how much for a kit shipped to me and how much to send to sub to you to do it? thanks.

that way all the recone questions are in one place and others can easily browse the section to see if their sub is in there...

I asked this question about my Soundstream T2 10". Johnny, are you sure your T4 is a D2? They only come in D1.

The new 2007 T5's come in D2 I believe.

im not sure at all, its not my sub. im just trying to help out a freind. i thought it was D2 because i think he has it wired in parallel and his amp is only stable to 1 ohm. so it may very well be D1 but thanks alot scott, ill check and make sure that it has 3 inch coils.

I'll shoot you a ballpark price of a normal recone, that being around the 200-250 dollar range. Depending on weither its just them shipping you a kit, or them doing it, and other variables the price may fluxuate.

Looking at half that or less for the kit. Shipping depends if it is a kit or a complete recone.

ok well i just looked at a website with a T4 15 and it says that it has a 4 inch voice coil. isaw that the 10 has a 3 inch coil but the 15 doesnt. so im guessing you cant do it?
