I just order 2 maw-15's from the sound solutions shop. I gonna run them sealed and power them with a hifonics bx1500d about 1300-1400 clean watts at 1 ohm to both of them together. How hard do you think they will hit and how loud? Im running a fi ssd ported with the same amp right now but i need more , since my car has bad cabin gain.

Will this set up kill my 12 inch ssd I have now? Im trying to get my setup louder and deeper then a fi q 12 inch ported powered by a 1000 watt lanzer amp. My friend has that setup in his scion tc, and it bangs in that car. I have a 4 door sedan and decided i needed more to get as loud as his. I just hope this is what im looking for. Any Thoughts?

I put your subs out first thing this morning to be picked up by UPS. The 2 15's have a large cone advantage over the single 12. But keep in mind you have to allow a little bit of time for break in.

Also, when you get them play around with placement, and see if you can open/widen an open area into the cabin of your sedan. Also you could try IB later, just watch the gains.

Will do all the suggestions given. Thanks for the fast shipment denim, and to everyone else thanks for the info. Great forum

Oh, and would anyone know the exact displacement of each , maw-15? How many cubic ft does the sub take up?

I dont know if the exact number is out there anywhere, But IMO I would acount for them being 0.15 ft^3 in any box calculations.
