Posted April 5, 200718 yr ok well i have decided to go SQ for my system... i wanna know what the best speakers would be for this... i need 2 5.25" speakers and 2 4" speakers.... right now i am using the infinity reference speakers and they sound pretty good i was wondering what might be better then these... price doesnt matter and im gonna fit up an amp that will match the specs of the speakers.
April 5, 200718 yr Price doesn't matter? OK, here are some names...Audio Technology/SkaaningScanspeakSeas Excel
April 5, 200718 yr Jim you left out Accuton, in particular the D20N-6-36 tweet which is one of my favorites.
April 5, 200718 yr Those Accuton midbasses are ass ugly with that hexagon grill Never heard anything from them though.http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi...92&pid=1627:drool:
April 5, 200718 yr Those Accuton midbasses are ass ugly with that hexagon grill And it is a shame to cover up such a cheap driver.
April 5, 200718 yr i think you may need to relook your aspect of sqbrax and rainbow are also worth a looki can also ship you over some AD 3 ways but they will come in at around $2500-3k
April 6, 200718 yr Don't forget the Macrom, Morel and Dynaudio raw drivers. If there's no limit on $$$ we can find ways to spend some serious $$$. The install will make or break any set of speakers though.
April 6, 200718 yr bling bling tweets http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi...27&pid=1283edit: my lingo is wrong, i think that should be ices
April 6, 200718 yr bling bling tweets http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi...27&pid=1283Funny that they put "Only" next to the price on the Madisound site.
April 10, 200718 yr Author well maybe i was wrong about $$$ not mattering LOL i wasnt excpecting to get some 40 billion dollar speakers LOL... im looking into about 5-800 for the 4 speakers... LOL
April 10, 200718 yr how about a set of Hertz space components which run like 600 for the 6.5" and 650 for the 8".Or you could always go with some ID cd1pro compression horns and dynaudio or dls mid-bass.
April 10, 200718 yr That doesn't answer squat. Is one a mid and one a woofer? Where are they going? What are you powering them with? What are you using for a crossover? What tweeter do they blend with? Some more info is completely necessary to answer this at all in an educated way.
April 11, 200718 yr Author 5.25 could probably fit a 6.5 but little mounting depth.. those are mids and the 4's are highs dont have tweeters yet.. car is a 99 passport.. looking into the MA Audio HK598 to power em.. 100 watts rms @ 4 ohm.. i was looking into the infinity kappa series but idk if they will do good at loud lvls...
April 11, 200718 yr If you are looking for the ultimate in sq, than you needed a bigger midbass, the space 6.5 is only like 1.25 inches deep, so that takes care of your depth issues, what is your budget etc...Are you doing kick panels? Are you running an eq?what are you doing for time alignment?there are soo many things to consider when doing sq. if i were you i would go to imagedynamics.org and look at the team gallery for some amazing sq cars and ideas.
April 12, 200718 yr Either ask a question with NO ellipses and explain youself a bit or expect that pretty much everyone will be ignoring your thread.
April 12, 200718 yr Author heh i didnt think sq in a car went so deep... lol pretty much what im looking for is just something that will sound good... wont have an EQ or nothing fancy just some speakers that will make the car nice and clear... they are gonna be powered @ 100 watts rms... also if i were to get an 8" for midbass what would you recommend?? and were would you wanna put a midbass ???
