I've been considering buying a Fi sub(s) for my '02 Ford Explorer, but I can't decide whether or not I should get a single Q12, Q15, BL12, BL15, or a pair of SSD12s.

I like listening to artists such as Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Armin van Buuren, and some rock.

I'm leaning towards a more SQ system that can get LOUD!

Which Fi would you recommend me getting and what type of enclosure will sound best in my Expo?

Depends on how much power you have to work with.

For your situation i'd definitely suggest using a ported enclosure.

I want to spend around $300-$350 on the sub(s).

I would also want to be able to use a Kicker ZX1000.1 amp @ 2 ohms

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and a lot of space to work with in the trunk

On that amp...a single Q 15 would work fine.

What is the main difference between the BL and the Q and why should I get the Q instead?

Whenever I order the Fi Q15 should I get the dual 1 or dual 2?

The Q will be perfect for you since they sound great and the get LOUD. I dont know much about that amp but if its 1 ohm stable than get dual 2 to run it at 1 ohm. but if its not then get a dual 1 to run it at 2 ohms.

So how does a Fi Q15 d1 and a Kicker ZX1000.1 (1000+wrms @ 2ohm) sound?

With the Explorers I normally do sub up and port back. Seems to work well. Enclosure dimensions will vary in them per year/model. Measure the width between the wheel wells and the height to the back of the seat. I can design a box from there.

the kicker amp is an awesome match for the Q15...

im getting the same amp for my 12"Q
