where should i put my amp (zx1000.1) on my car, should i put it on the box (Fi Q 12") or should i mount it on the side of the trunk?

I prefer not to mount amplifiers on the boxes, but the choice is yours really.

I agree with denim. Amps on boxes IMO should be a LAST resort.

I swap out subs so much it would be bad for me to do it.

i've has boxes move, tip over, and had the vibrations un'do the screws and the amp fall off before...........needless to say none are pretty.

In a lot of installs mounting on the box is fine, especially if your boxes are as inert as mine.

Yep. I prefer to mount to the SIDE of the box. Mounting to speaker baffle isn't ideal, but should be fine.

Your box shouldn't viberate, and it shouldn't slide around either.

If it viberates, you need bracing. If it slides you need velcro.

Velcro???Try L brackets

Not in a Bimmer.

Stick the hard half of heavyduty velcro to the bottom of your box and it will not slide.

If I wanted it PERMANENT I'd just bolt it to the floor.

Forgot he had a bmw.........pwned
