ive got boston pro60's for the front. im was thinkin, maybe a set of those 6x9 tang band "subs" for the rear, but when i eventually put in my 12" xxx, i probably wouldnt even be able to tell the tang bands are there. should i do coaxial's in the rear? whats a decent set of 6x9s if so?

If you insist on rear fill, then maybe some inexpensive DIY components or if you have to run co-ax then look at something like Polk or here is a nice set for cheap:

i cant click ebay links at work, ill have to check those out when im off.

and as far as diy comps, i dont want to have to mount a tweeter in the back, i want it to look as factory as possible. the only things that u can tell are changed are the HU and when i add the sub in the back. pro60's will be in the front behind the stock mid and tweeter grilles.

what are the prices on those JBLs? im looking for something like 50-70 bux, and like 70ish w rms...nothing expensive

Right in that range, just check on ebay, there are so many different models.

If you don't like that, you could always run a pair of AA POLY's as rear fill (no Tweeter) Your not going to get great highs, but you can definately get a good top end of 8-10k before a steep roll -off and some killer midbass.

And there cheap.

And Chad is (has) made a car friendly version too.

And I hope they come out soon because I need at least 4 of them. :fing34:

ya, my friend has 2 in each door, they sound nice and have nice midbass. that is a good idea for the rear, as were the tang band subs for a few more bux, but i ended up getting coax because i figured, once i put the XXX in, im not gonna even hear the polys or tang bands in the rear if i had went that route. thats my opinion at least.

The real answer for rear fill is none.

when you don't have a real fill can people in your backseats still hear the music?? i have a jeep and i have my JBL P652 6.5s in the rear and some pioneers in the front, so it's high, mid, low.

if i took the pioneers out and put the JBLs in their place leaving the back seats with no speakers how do you think it would sound?

listening to music in your car is a compromise. if you want it to sound best for you, use only a good frontstage. if you do care about the others, rear fill is an option.

yes, they will hear some music in the back. and if they don't like it they can walk
