What would be louder 2 12" SSD subs each getting 800RMS or a 1 15"BTL series sub getting 1800RMS.

1 15" btl, would have less cone area, but more than doble the power, so i would say 1 btl, plus i like 1 sub, setups, :) JMO, i might be wrong

the 15 will hit low and loud

2 10's with combined 1600 will hit hard...

Do you already have the amp(s) and how much space do you have to work with?

for space i wouldent want a box over 36" wide 15"high and depthe doesnt matter much. So what will pound harder and sound better the 12's or the 15.
