What is the difference between dual 1 and dual 2 ohm. I am planning on getting 2 12" SSD subs. What would be some good amps to get.

Only difference is wiring options for a given amp..look for an amp that does ~1600 watts at 1ohm for the dual 1ohm coils, or ~1600 watts at 2ohms for the dual 2ohm subs.

Personally i recommend a sundown 1500...get the dual 1ohm coils and it would be great on a pair of SSD's.
