Posted May 4, 200718 yr I apologize in advance - you are dealing with a noob.I think I want to do a sealed 15" in my new car, but I am having trouble deciding which way to go. I have been looking at the Fi Q and the SI Mag. Is the SI really worth the extra 200? Would you recommend anything else? Perhaps maybe even a 12" to go ported with? I am not looking to make major alterations to my electrical just yet either (read HO alt), so I'd like to keep the power handling in the 1000W range.I'm looking for a true LSQ system - I want it to be clean, but get LOUD when I want it. I have about 3 cubes to work with, maybe more if I want to give up some of that golf bag space in the trunk, but I'd like to keep it if I can help it. If it means a real difference in loudness, I might consider giving up some more. Thanks for the help guys,Chris
May 4, 200718 yr Admin Hi chris, no need to applogize, we are not mean here and try to treat everyone with respect. Here is one thing about your question, at the moment the out going MAG is out of stock in 12". I personally love the 12" MAG, its in my Avitar for a reason. So if you are sticking to those two options, the Q is your 12" choice. Nick does still have some 15" MAG's left but I know you would have to hurry. Both are very good subwoofers, I have not heard them head to head to say one way or another.
May 4, 200718 yr either one would be a great choice. with 1000wrms of power in mind, i'd also recommend the soundsplinter rl-p. either a sealed 15 or a lower tuned ported 12 will accomplish what your after. and should fit int he 3 cubes you have to work with.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
