Would the Hifonics 1606D be good to push 2 12" SSD's or do i need to get the 2006D. Ive heard that Hifonics overates their amps is that true.

I have heard by many posts accounts that they are over rated... But i haven't seen any solid tests that prove they are (which doesn't mean they aren't) just be wary of what you "hear" ......

I have 1K per sub to my SSD's and it's a true 1K (actually the CEA rating when the amp was tested was 1019 Watts) and My SSD's take it like champs (stable 13 volts with extra bats in the rear).... I would go for the 2006D providing your electrical is up to par and you adjust your gains correctly...
