Ok, I read the sticky... and I'll be searching google this week as well.

My truck will be out of paint this week. I thought I'd stop by here first and get everybody's advice before I scour the net...

What are the do's and don'ts?

I'm a n00bx for exterior car care. My truck was peeling/cracking bad b/c of the horrible 1992 Dodge Stock paintjob.

So, how long before I really work on it... and what should I do first?

SO you had it painted, fresh paint? if thats the case, what ever you do,

DO NOT WASH IT WITH A BRUSH (CAR WASH BRUSH)

washing it with a brush will leave a ton of very fine scratches in it because it's new, best way to wash it is just with a cloth or something soft. Do that for the life of the paint and it'll be beautifull it's whole life.

I would talk to the paint shop first, because I know different paint cures at different rates.
