Posted May 21, 200718 yr So I finally got this beast of an amp. I looked at the user manual but have a question on wiring.I will be using four single 4Ohm subs. The way I understand the Manual I can wire two subs together to form a 2 ohm load and use one set of terminals on the amp and do the same with the other two subs for the other set of terminals and the amp will see a 2 ohm load? My head tells me the amp would see a 1 ohm load but the manual makes it sound like it would see a 2 ohm load. Can someone help? I would prefer to run at 2 ohms VS 1ohm but if needed will run at 4 ohms as to not destroy the subs I have. Subs can take 500-700 RMS.
May 21, 200718 yr That will be a 1 ohm load. With impedance rise, it will be higher, so you may be closer to 2 ohms.back the gains off a little and take it easy on the vooume knob and you should be ok What subs are they?Brian
